"BOULDER-DASH"

On
an unusually cold Sunday morning in Richmond, Virginia there was a
gathering of British cars at the "Boulders" for a
annual showing sponsored by the Richmond Triumph Registry. A hole
field of bright and shiny British cars to look at and lots
of friendly people to talk to. Jan and I arrived there in our little
Yellow Hillman Husky around 9:30, and was directed to our parking spot
by the "Man with the Orange Stick", which was about 4 or 5
parking spots from the rest of our class, the "Other British,
closed", talk about feeling unwanted! We had no sooner set
about unloading all of the sundries (chairs, drink cooler, car cleaning
supplies, and etc.) required for a days outing, then we spotted
Paul and Cathy Wojick from Winchester Virginia with their Mk1a Tiger, now
how in the heck did he beat us there!!?? Paul's Tiger was placed in the
"Other British, open" class which was just at the other end of
our row. We had no sooner said hello to Paul and Cathy then here comes
another red Tiger pulling in. After further investigating, we find that it
is Mark and Dorothy Fridenstine from Lottsburg Virginia in there Mk1a. As
it turns out, that was the days final count for Rootes Group vehicles
in attendance. Even though our numbers were small the rewards were
great. Paul and Cathy won first place in their class with Mark and
Dorothy taking second, and Jan and I won second place in our class,
now "that" makes for a real nice day!
